I’ve gotten both shots of the Pfizer. Just a sore arm and a bit achy after the first and less so after the 2nd shot. It’s been about 2 months since the 2nd shot. No regrets except for when I look at Qanon Instagram accounts lol No I’m not a Q-tard, just like to look at different opinions and stuff. I’m not a libtard either. Haha
J&J is only 1 shot but I’ve heard it’s also less effective (66.3% efficacy). Whereas Pfizer & Moderna are in the mid to upper 90% efficacy.
My question is, how confident do you feel going out “mongering” or “hunting” being vaccinated (or not)? I wonder how many active members of this site (active on the board and in hunting) have gotten Covid or are willing to talk about it? No need for specifics on how you got it or from whom you think you got it from... just if you’ve gotten covid and do you feel it was related to your “extracurricular” activities?
So far, I have 1 shot of Pfizer vax. Arm has a knot in it for several days running. Next shot in a few weeks. Pfizer and Moderna are over 90%, J&J is closer to 70-75% in the USA.
During the midst of the pandemic, I never stopped mongering, just reduced the rate. I was also fortunate to usher a few providers into their first day back to work. By this, I mean I picked them up in Flushing and drove them to their respective spas. Of course, I took a sample the night before the grand re-opening.
Since the beginning of the year, I have stopped paying. Not because of the risk, but because I have other priorities. In January I contracted C19, and was on my ass for a week, and in Q for 3 more. One of my family members who I came into contact was the possible source. She died. Fortunately, no one in my household or any other contacts (including sexual partners within a week of my diagnosis) became infected. I have a pharma background, and several friends who are biostatisticians. With proper ventilation, protection and isolation, the spread of C19 can be slowed. Now I avoid spas. The recent ATL shootings have heightened my concerns, and my concealed carry permit has lapsed.
It was a much greater concern that my infection would pass to one of my last providers. She was contact-traced and was not infected. In closing, I HIGHLY recommend that you continue to practice protective behaviors, including masking and distancing wherever possible. Get vaccinated. This disease is as random as it is devastating. For some it is nothing, for others it is an annoyance, but it can also be critical, and deadly, not just for the old and infirm.
Stay safe, gentlemen!
