I’m going to give Cici the benefit of the doubt, and chalk it up to growing pains with a new shop. I’ve had several good sessions here already and I think it will get better. She can’t please everyone…
Normally I would agree but if the OP is a regular and was even in touch with Mimi, his chances of a NS is extremely low. There's no good reason to double book her for the same time slot other than greed.

Exactly. No growing pains, she’s been in the business long enough. It’s just greed, hoping that a regular would suck it up and come back again.

Linda did the switcheroo on me once too many times and that's why I don't go to Reiki anymore. There's an old Chinese saying: "Only eat what's ripe". "Ripe" sounds the same as the word for "familiar". In other words, some are more likely to take advantage of regulars. Caveat emptor

That’s happened to me as well. I felt like she was taking advantage of our friendship so she could book another guy who might otherwise not return.

Same here. I've been her customer since before she got her own first place. I miss the "old" Linda. She was a real sweetheart. But running Reiki really changed her. I know there have been a lot of challenges, especially the pandemic. But right now all she sees is money. The 3rd time she pushed one of her Latinas on me AFTER I told her I don't like them, and AFTER I already made an appointment with a Chinese provider, was the last straw. I still like her a a person but not as an MMS anymore.

Yes absolutely, the thread that OP started says bait and switch. Every one knows Cici is a proven lady for memorable experience, but the problem here is they get greedy and with no due respect switch with others blindly.

To some of these MMS, a pussy is a pussy and the customer shouldn't care. Unfortunately, we each have unique connections with each different provider. When we make an appointment with a certain someone, we also expected a certain experience. It's like ordering an ice cream sundae but the waitress brings you a sirloin instead.

I mean, they're ALL greedy. But when you let greed overshadow ethics and loyalty, your business will suffer. Look at TW and 202/206. So many other examples.

I don’t know about the hate session that got started here but I feel it necessary to say something. What you may see as greed is a living they all have to make and I’m more than happy pay at the level of service I’m provided. If we’re complaining about .2 more here or there, this may not be the hobby for you or just wait another week or so between sessions. Just them a chance and let others try for themselves.

Update!! I asked admin to remove this post. Mimi did reach out to me yesterday afternoon to apologize for the situation I truly think she is one of the best we have in the business. Says something of her to actually reach out to me. Mimi is a keeper. She is going on a two week vacation after next Monday. I will definitely see her again when she returns. If administration reads this post please delete this thread. Thx

I think this thread needs to remain. What happened, happened. You can’t pretend that it didn’t.

The whole reason for this site is to share information, both good and bad.

You did the right thing by posting your update, but you can’t pretend it never happened, because it will happen again.

No need to delete the entire thread, you posted an honest review of your experience. If entire threads start getting deleted because a provider apologized for a poor experience, this site will cease to exist.

No one has ever questioned the popularity of the ladies working this place or TW, 202/206.. but It's not like this is a rare experience with this group given their history.

Hopefully threads like this will serve as a learning experience for them to change the way they run their business.

Can always hope.

I believe the issues do not involve cost but service. How many times are we shorted time but paid for an hour? How many times have we made appointments not honored? How many times has a provider been switched. As was said before, it is a question of business ethics.
Exactly! I would gladly pay the high prices for a good steak but if I pay for a 16oz, I better get 16oz. (Pre-cooked weight, I know I know). You'd be pissed off too if the bartender waters down your mojito right in front of your eyes. I won't stop going to most of these places but if they keep pulling these stunts, well like the saying goes "there's plenty of fish in the ocean". And NJ is a pretty big ocean for mongers.

I agree with Don31, lyin' eyes, Travelmike88 and error434 as well. I'm glad Rapid1 that you had a courtesy phone call acknowledging the error of their ways, but how are they going to reimburse you or compensate you for not having received everything you paid in full for? I've been wanting to go there myself, but because of everything I've read on the forum about the place, I've been staying away because the earlier reviews are glowing, but as time went on, the newer reviews have me second guessing to make the trek out there.

Having said that, not all of us have the relationship that you do and based on this, I'm not exactly too keen on trying to establish one there. Until others have enough updates and reviews saying otherwise, I'm staying away until the time and appointments are honored.
