Hey Michael, they are people too and work hard. Bragging about short changing them shows disrespect, business or not.
I don't understand how that makes you feel good about yourself. I have heard many times from the providers how cheap some customers are. You must be one of them.
If the items on a restaurant menu are too expensive, do you call for the chef an hand him a reduced amount you will pay? No you go to another resaurant. You just have to sacrifice that the quality at the second place may not be as good.
Just my opinion, you can do whatever you like, maybe try and go back and see what happens if you try and underpay again. I am sure they will remember you, lol.

I’m kind of in the middle on this point, I don’t want to get hosed but I want us both to be satisfied in the end. But there’s a formula in my head with min Fs tip, adds for extras and deducts for poor service. Some of it is not personal but circumstantial, if I’m in a restaurant and the place is packed so the service might not be as good, I tip a bit less as a% but the server is actually making more, end of day because she has more tables. Same kind of math. That said, I def overtip some of my favs and if I’ve already decided by the end of a session that I won’t repeat with a girl, even if the math adds to an extra .2 I probably won’t give it unless she corners me at the end of the session and even then probably not.
Tip varies from parlors to parlors. Some prefer tip after the service. Some prefer tip before the service. I learned myself from mongers to lower my expectations and appreciate them regardless of service. Provide constructive feedback.

In my experience, traditionally the provider drives the tipping process, and I just follow their lead. If they want it up front no problem, once you know them, they uually wait till the end. The gentleman who says he does not tip either pays big bucks up front, never visits the same spa twice or is quite a prevaricator. I strongly suspect the later. its a statement born out of boundless stupidity. And more than one spa has protection that comes out of the woodwork when you do them wrong. Be nice, play safe and life is good.
Maybe you guys are confused. Most amps in Manhattan are 240-280. I always give the full rate before. Some amps they want a tip after the house fee. I give what they ask. I never tip on top of any of that. And I've frequented several spas. And all of em like me as a customer. Texts responded immediately etc.
if i'm at an AMP for the first time, MMS takes the house fee, then i'll lay out ~160 on the table. after that one of two things happens. either the girl wants to negotiate, in which case that's my bank to negotiate with, or she just delivers the service i expect, in which case it's hers to keep. i have never had anyone deliver limited services but expect the whole stack, fwiw. i think laying out some coin in plain view does help to validate that i'm experienced and ok to provide full services to, if they are on the menu at that spot. if i'm very happy at the end i may add another 20 as an extra tip.

Speaking from very deep interests in the hospitality industry I can attest there are assholes on this planet like Mr. Alligator arms who squeal with delight when they tell their stories of getting over on service workers. They see it as a big score on their part. His justification that he's actually doing the ladies a favor because he's so handsome, what a total jitbag.
Oh and BTW, I'm so handsome they girls usually tip me, and I almost hardly ever lie!

The hospitality industry always gets my tips. You know why?? Because they need tips. They don't make $200+ per hr. If they did then I wouldn't tip them either.
I also don't tip my doctor, nor my lawyer etc. My barber $5 tip everytime. Near Xmas a 6 pack of Heineken. Valet $3, dealer of cards always tip if im doing well. Delivery guy $5 on anything under $30. Anything over accordingly. Servers double the tax. It's comical how you guys get offended like I'm not tipping your gf. Lmaooooo
