I feel like this is a grass is greener type of situation…I have been in a LT relationship living with someone for 10 years (not married), but when I was single roughly 10 years ago I was heavy on the dating apps like Match, Plenty of Fish and OKCupid…I had a great profile, professional head shots from a friend of mine and a had the profile written by a professional as well, lolz…I was able to pull a lot of dates, that was not an issue for me, the problem was finding the girl that I was really interested in and excited about…I went on so many date maybe a 100 or so, sometimes 3-4 a day, coffee, drinks, drinks, etc…I would line them up like job interviews, lolz
The problem is most girls I went on dates with did not excite me in person...and the few I liked didn’t like me back…There was no “Chemistry”...There many I could have fucked but that would have required multiple dates, and I didn’t want to put in that effort for a girl that didn’t excite me. A lot of girls will ask on 1st/2nd date what your intentions are and if you are honest that you just want “fun” its usually game over as a majority of them looking for a serious relationship that leads to marriage…I know some guys play along for a few dates just to bust a nut and then ghost a girl…But if she was a nice girl, I didn’t want to dick her offer like that so if I was not that excited to hang with ever I would just cut it off after a 1st/2nd date….So I ended up just going on dates continuously, it was an endless game of musical chairs, it got tiring after awhile, like going on 100 interviews and not getting the job, lolz…That was 10 years ago, I can’t imagine the shit show of what dating in NYC is these days with Tinder, Hinge etc, I imagine it harder now than it was with the dating apps becoming more mainstream and everyone using it…
