Will COVID prevent you from seeing independent (American) providers as well?

Hi, I don’t know if it’s normal for providers to ever post on here... but I don’t know any other way to get a lot of answers and am not going to take an unsolicited poll via text with who I see.

I been reading a lot about people not wanting to go to AMP’s anymore basically but not much on indys or American agencies. This is the first pandemic as I was too young to remember swine flu or SARS, so I don’t know what to expect. Even in my personal/civilian life.

Also, do you see this passing?

I think most of us don't know what to expect, both with hobbying and everything else. I'm hoping this week was the worst but this may just be the beginning, especially for the economy. As far as media and culture go, panic should decrease in the next month or so. AMPs will definitely take a huge hit and a lot of them may struggle to come back. But we gotta do our thing, regardless. Personally I'm looking to check out indies in a few weeks.

I'm already reading & hearing about indy business slowing down considerably for ladies that are usually consistently busy.

Personally, I have stopped partaking in physical contact with any pro or civvie until this all--hopefully--blows over. But I'm risk-averse and have also stopped going to anything involving groups of people for now, including the gym. So you can take my case with a grain.

It doesn't really matter if it's AMPs, Indys or American agencies. In every case, you're still seeing a bunch of random people and can't tell what their level of exposure has been. COVID-19 doesn't discriminate and all bets are off with escorts, at least for the next few weeks if not longer.

Well.... prior to it now spreading to a bunch of other people here- I’m pretty sure the risk factor with people just coming to and from China (many AMP women) was higher than someone who hasn’t been there or international. Now it’s been done and spread, so yes you’re right- however I never said otherwise though. I just said all I’m seeing mostly is people are avoiding AMP’s. So I asked about independent and American only agencies?

I personally won’t stop escorting throughout this. Yeah and people also working various civilian jobs don’t know the level of exposure pertaining to COVID-19 amongst their co-workers. Same for people who ride the NYC subway, what million other people were on that cart/train earlier. That can be said for a lot of things unless anyone here has the freedom to just not leave their house for the next 90 days or so- not just escorts.

Yes, this is all true. At the end of the day, it's really about being practical and controlling what you can when it comes to COVID-19. A lot of those activities/situations you mentioned are unavoidable, but seeing escorts is an extracurricular activity that is more of a "nice to have" and not a necessity for most people, so that's why it would be prudent to avoid the hobby for several weeks if not longer.

For me, if I catch the virus on the train, I'll go to self isolation, that's not a big deal consider I have no prior condition and I am healthy. My biggest concern is that the provider tested positive, and the health worker has to track me down to contain the spread. That's the last thing any married guy here would want.

I see a couple of independents who are borderline germaphobe as far as hand washing, sanitizing, etc....even before this. Occasionally I find it kind of annoying but those are the girls I’ll see during this strange period, however long it lasts (if they’ll still have me)

at this point it really doesn't matter whether you go to an amp or indy because the infection is everywhere. also someone that you see or are seeing may be completely well could be infected since it takes about 4 days before symptoms are apparent. the bottom line is to use common sense , universal precautions and hope that things pass sooner than later

I saw my indie friend today. We washed hands, had a few sips of wine and then it was business as usual. Both are concerned about hygiene and respect each other.
I’m not going to Amps or ORMCH or Indies until this blows over, I think it’s a really easy to catch the virus through this hobby.

Can’t wait until the virus goes away

That's reassuring to hear.. I just don't understand the craze that hand sanitizers/dial soap/clorox wipes and lysol's are no where to be found.
Like were people NOT doing this before regardless?
I mean each to its own- but even if I could I'm not staying in my house for the next 90 days or whatever and going to Costco in a panic to stock up on frozen foods and what not even if I wasn't an escort. Life will go on.

Take an Airborne Vit C mix and a Zicam zinc pill every day until the "epidemic" is over and deal with it. 8% of NYC has West Nile no symptoms https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5367428/ nobody talks about that anymore. Air conditioning systems in public places blowing air at you is biggest risk IMO for any cold or flu. Healthcare or education workers, escorts too, will receive small amounts of exposure that will build immunity. House wives, cubical workers, outdoor wilderness workers, and seniors who never go in public are mostly likely to catch it with symptoms.

I'm sticking to my trusted indy ATF who also is studying to be in medical field, so I know she's extra careful and knowledgeable about everything on top being low volume at all times. I wouldn't trust anybody else at this point.
