I think of amp girls as being like athletes - only a few are making big bucks and those that do have a very limited window to do so, with lots of possibilities of problems sidelining them, from physical abuse, to theft to drugs and gambling or just plain bad judgement of youth.

And the older gals working the “massage” circuit… well, it’s not hard to see how modestly most them live.

You know, the NFL has some kind of 'finance' literacy class for NFL athletes because many athletes, especially linebackers won't play more than 5 years because of the amount of physical abuse. So they have to make make their money last and not to spend all their money during their heydays. I'm not privy to how the Chinese or Japanese girls get into the US, but all the girls who have come to NY in the last 10+ years that I've gotten to know have come in entirely on their own and there's a whole discussion board where girls exchange information and can navigate their way through.

I was thinking about bringing up that exact subject- shakedowns, but held off until I read your comment. A month ago, I was with a provider that many know. We’ve always have sincere conversations during our outings and she brought up how a dude has been shaking her down for years and another mamaSan she’s very close to. The dude bangs mercilessly on the door and makes disturbing noises that brings attention to the location. He’s paid off because I guess it’s easier than bringing attention to the location plus he scares the shit out of them. She think he’s dangerous and unfortunately succumbs to his extortion.

Well not all amps work 5x a week, some just work 1-2x/ week, some once or twice every second week of the month. Even if a girl does FS I’m sure they don’t FS every single client especially not on a busy day.

I know a girl paying off an American husband. I forget the number but after rent and stuff she's just scraping by. Like do I buy medicine or get groceries scraping by. This is not a $300/hr girl on a 3 month visitors btw.

I doubt that many of these women would like to go to the transistion from being an AMP worker to being a housewife. Let's be honest. These women have no job skills. Addicted to the high life and likes being a big spender and possibility being addicted to drugs. Probably terrible in finances. Even if you have a long term relationship, she might not think highly of you and might stray. Chances are that you have to end up supporting her and she might not be grateful for this. Yes there are women who can transistion to being a civvie wife but not the one you described.

Also have heard a lot of women do NOT want the restrictions that come w/marriage. They like the freedom.

I think it's important to distinguish between different categories of providers.
--The rub-and-tug women are probably making a LOT less than the FS AMP ones.
--There are plenty of Korean and other Asian women who bounce around as free agents from AMP to AMP and city to city, take time off when they want, make a great living, and don't have anyone with financial hooks into them, but often are hurt by the crappy choices some of them make (investing all their money in starting a small business or in cybercurrency)
--There are sadly others who are here illegally and with massive obligations to unscrupulous people, and that's the fu---ed-up side of this sector, which I avoid if I even get a whiff of it.
So the economics of this vary enormously.

I don’t think the provider wants violence to settle this as it could bring attention to them from the blue squad. So how do you stop extortion without violence? As it has been said before, “ make him an offer he can’t refuse”. That threat has to come from someone the extortionist
either respects or knows the reputation of. Frankly, I detest people who pray on others . Most are sociopaths and should be handled with extreme prejudice.
