WTF - this is really sounding sketchy-not doubting you, but the fire department? Asking what you paid & how long? The fire department? Really? And you responded? any fire vehicles? I don't get why the fire department would be there other than fire or a building code violation, that is what they do-cops I could see, becasue it is not currently legal to be an open massage joint until phase three,I believe. But hell's bells, I would just walk away. If I had to answer, just getting a massage from a friend no money was asked for-no-money paid masssage like sex, between friends is not illegal-what a trip dude

Dollars to donuts, Joyce will be there tomorrow, just like hurricane Sandy . . .
I think the last time she got shut down was also a fire code violation. That was the time she moved to Broom Street for a while.
Normally you need to unblocked exists in a basement with no kitchen hook up and the partition can not go to the ceiling.
She has a good lawyer. She will reopen

If it was the FDNY what could they charged you with, using a clog hose?

I do not think they have the power to arrest, only issue violations

I still don’t understand why FDNY would be asking about details of the massage. Something sounds off about this incident. Unless the guy with the badge was NYPD and it was a combined police/fire effort

It could be part of NYC coronavirus monitoring squad enlisting various agencies to assist them. So if a person tested positive for the virus and they asked who he was in contact with and if he said he went for a massage, they could had asked the FD to check it out

Could be public health related but if so, why would they be asking how much he paid?? That sounds like a question a cop would be asking

Probably 311 complaints from noisy neighbors there’s a woman (Charlene) in Queens on Facebook community forums and she bragged about getting a massage closed down on Fresh Pond Road.Too much traffic attracts noisy neighbors.

Store front Parlors are definitely not the place to be right now. They technically shouldn't be open yet plus all the noisy people are probably reporting shit.

I don't think OP is lying but he should give us more details. How many people? What uniform are they wearing? Vehicles? Too many things don't add up.

That is why a lot of good ones have gone UTR and by appointment only. Keep the traffic and noise at a minimum . Bad when mongers are hanging around waiting

They know a legit massage in Chinatown is like $20. So if they hear the price is more they assume more is going on

That is weird. My burner phone was ringing off the hook this evening. It was Joyce’s number. Didn’t get to answer. That has literally never happened. I’m a little nervous now. What’s going on?
