I think we both got in trouble. But the impression I got was that, because I was the boy, I was viewed as the "aggressor" and the one mostly in the wrong. Plus, I had my clothes on while she mostly didn't. I was also the one who ended up changing schools (from one I liked to one I hated), so I feel like I got punished more. The way I remember it (which is hazy), it was pretty mutual so I am not sure if it was more my fault or hers. She never told anyone. We only got caught by her older brother.
As far as the cousin thing, not sure what to say about that. I don't think our parents ever imagined something like that would happen. I can tell you that, in that case, my older cousin was definitely the instigator. Regardless of my musings all these years later, it didn't go further than looking and I doubt I would have had sex with her under any circumstances.
