I’m not making suggestions Freddy. I’m telling you how it is.
Banned and Suspension is one in the same. Folks familiar with discussion board lingo are aware of this.
If you’re banned, you’ve lost your ability to post. Also known as loss of posting privleges.
It’s not a violation that’s deserving of permanent banishment from the board.
In general it could be a 30-day suspension of posting privileges; but staff will look at each case, assess the damage, and issue the penalty. If a member continues to repeatedly reveal private content from posts and reviews then yes, the penalty could become progressively worse until it’s no longer an issue one way or another. We could also look at it and determine that there was no damage done at all, depending on factors like what content specifically was revealed and how long the content was in public view before staff was able to make corrections. It’s possible that if it was caught immediately and nobody saw it before staff cleaned it up, that only a stern warning is necessary.
You folks can discuss it to your heart’s content, but ultimately it will be a staff decision based on staff judgement, and will be implemented as staff sees fit.
