Dude you’ve made the same argument previously. I for one respect you. But you gotta get over it. You have to admit 2 reviews in 4 years is peculiar. And a lot of dudes felt some type of way when you posted the secret video chat. But, I’ve enjoyed some of your comments aside.
I don’t agree, I find it more peculiar to weigh quality and intent based on a join date. My hidden cam thread came after, so people had a legit reason to hate me there.

maybe “shit on” was a poor choice of words. They tend to get criticized on the review count and years joined over the quality of the review itself. I don’t even think they read the review, they just jump right to the hazing or whatever it is. Not a good look to encourage lurkers to participate.

I've reviewed both of your reviews, and I'm not really seeing what you're claiming...at least not to the extent that you think. There's no one in your "Big Booty" review that commented that had more than 2 or 3 reviews, and most were just about the review itself. None are what I would consider seasoned veterans, at least not on our site. The one comment from one of our senior members @RockyJ, who has 34 reviews and joined the site in 2018, gave you a valuable piece of advice, which I alluded to in my previous post.

Your other review in Elmsford, there was ONE comment from one member who joined less than a year ago and only has two reviews. Again, not at all one of our senior contributors and veterans. And not at all shitting on it.

If I'm being 100% frank, and speaking as a veteran member myself (and NOT as a mod), I would find it a bit peculiar that you joined over 4 years ago, and only started writing reviews just this year, and you have a total of two. Now, of course that doesn't necessarily tell how experienced you are, but reading your 2 reviews, I would take it with a grain of salt myself. Especially since you are what you self-described as a "lurker".

No one criticized you...they made a comment that seemed "off" to them...they were expressing an opinion. And if you can't understand the fact that guys here are generally a skeptical bunch (until you've "established" yourself here based on the sheer nature of our hobby), then I don't know what to tell you.

In the future, if a member DOES make a comment about your lack of reviews, instead of going on the defensive, how about some context or a better way to respond? "I've been a lurker here for xxx years, but I wanted to start writing some reviews to contribute...I have xxx years of experience and generally don't write reviews, but I wanted to put this out there to recommend (or discourage) our fellow members.

You seem to be taking it VERY personally based on your complaints, which you clearly are bothered by, based on a number of similar posts in different threads. If you can't handle a bit of pushback, then I'm not sure if the site is for you. It's your choice to be here, and while we welcome everyone, including new members (who may or may not have extensive hobbying experience), no one is going to roll out the red carpet and treat you with kid gloves for every comment or review you write. And no respected member is going to automatically treat you as as fellow respected member until you earn credibility. And that only happens with quality reviews that are helpful.

My claim was in both my reviews somebody popped up to discredit it based on join date and review count. I also claimed I’ve seen that elsewhere on other peoples reviews, it’s there… whether you wanna diminish it or not. I don’t care about it at this point, I’m good. I don’t wanna seek out examples because it’s not important. I was just letting you know it exists and it happens and it may turn lurkers off. If that’s the way shits done here, cool. Thank you for the time and effort it took to respond, appreciate it.

Sorry, I should have also added… I get the skepticism of trusting a review from a person that has a low review count as well (given the nature of what everyone on this board is doing). Everyone has to start somewhere I guess.

I completely agree w this person. I don't say that to be argumentative. There are a few guys here that pop up on a few different t threads. Each time I've seen them they are telling the poster that ...this should be in private discussion or that should be there. One guy asked if there was a shower and one of your senior guys replied that he should do some research and find out. That is the stuff that this member is talking about. I won't go on and on about it... I have been in need of a good back rub for 20 years. I also got the .....so I guy w 1 review now knows it all...type stuff. I have as much seniority in this fun as anyone. I just don't determine my value or anyone else from their join date or nu.ber of posts / reviews. I respect the shit out of the time and generosity of those dudes but don't hold them in a y higher standing than a guy that joined yesterday a d is dead on about a topic of discussion.

Cheers.

As a moderator I hope u guys w continue to let guys work out these arguments .. the back and forth is entertaining... it creates comraderie and it is healthy. People make mistakes. It's good to get called on them. I made an enormous one the other day. ( actually had to put myself in the penalty box and report myself).. I posted something that was very important to me and factual but when I thought about hoe it could affect all of the people on this site, I realized I was selfish for making g the point and should have shown restraint. I contacted the boss and apogized. It's that simple.

I think it's OK to have guys want to pretend to be in charge and just as ok for guys to push back. If all we did here was backslap and lube each other up about how great every Comment or review was, this would r be much of a forum.

Yiu and I spoke on some topics in the past and I always respect your opinion. Don't always agree.

Cheers.
