I've reviewed both of your reviews, and I'm not really seeing what you're claiming...at least not to the extent that you think. There's no one in your "Big Booty" review that commented that had more than 2 or 3 reviews, and most were just about the review itself. None are what I would consider seasoned veterans, at least not on our site. The one comment from one of our senior members
@RockyJ, who has 34 reviews and joined the site in 2018, gave you a valuable piece of advice, which I alluded to in my previous post.
Your other review in Elmsford, there was ONE comment from one member who joined less than a year ago and only has two reviews. Again, not at all one of our senior contributors and veterans. And not at all shitting on it.
If I'm being 100% frank, and speaking as a veteran member myself (and NOT as a mod), I would find it a bit peculiar that you joined over 4 years ago, and only started writing reviews just this year, and you have a total of two. Now, of course that doesn't necessarily tell how experienced you are, but reading your 2 reviews, I would take it with a grain of salt myself. Especially since you are what you self-described as a "lurker".
No one criticized you...they made a comment that seemed "off" to them...they were expressing an opinion. And if you can't understand the fact that guys here are generally a skeptical bunch (until you've "established" yourself here based on the sheer nature of our hobby), then I don't know what to tell you.
In the future, if a member DOES make a comment about your lack of reviews, instead of going on the defensive, how about some context or a better way to respond? "I've been a lurker here for xxx years, but I wanted to start writing some reviews to contribute...I have xxx years of experience and generally don't write reviews, but I wanted to put this out there to recommend (or discourage) our fellow members.
You seem to be taking it VERY personally based on your complaints, which you clearly are bothered by, based on a number of similar posts in different threads. If you can't handle a bit of pushback, then I'm not sure if the site is for you. It's your choice to be here, and while we welcome everyone, including new members (who may or may not have extensive hobbying experience), no one is going to roll out the red carpet and treat you with kid gloves for every comment or review you write. And no respected member is going to automatically treat you as as fellow respected member until you earn credibility. And that only happens with quality reviews that are helpful.
