There definitely is. This is no accident. They had intel. They knew exactly who they were going after, where to target and what message they wanted to telegraph with the arrests and media coverage. Looks like they'll get it too. The surveillance video makes it both embarrassing and airtight.

This operation was strategery of the highest order.

I bet they netted a few politicians too, still to be announced. Maybe some Congressmen, Senators, a Governor, and who knows who else. Hey, isn't Trump's Mar-a Lago resort near there? [LOL}

The silver lining of this is that I doubt we'll see repeats of this nationwide. This was an elaborate, well researched and resourced operation. Most local PDs don't have the smarts or resources to pull this off. It's purpose is to make Mongers shit-their-pants and take the wind out of the AMP business (at least for a while). And from the reactions on this site, it looks like it will do just that.

What caught my attention about the press conference was right as the reporting officer officially got underway, he mentions something to the effect of “he would rather have the arrested women declared as trafficking victims instead of suspects.” If they’re guilty or charged with play for play, the more the merrier, right? Or does it help with the pending cases? If what LE claims are true, video evidence and such, it’s all but a slam dunk. Now enter Robert Kraft, I think this changes things, sure LE figured a big fish or two would get caught in the net, but this is quite a fish to have tangled in your net, Kraft won’t spend any time in jail other than the booking session and released to his attorney. Kraft faces disciplinary actions from the NFL organization obviously, this could cause him the team, it’s going to get very interesting most definitely.

The video thing may only comprise of LE body cams and spa video surveilance. I doubt they have video inside a room

The silver lining might be that this will blow back and embarrass LE. From what I read this investigation went on for more then 8 months. It was led by the Department of Homeland Security, which was set up to keep us safe from terrorists not hookers. Questions will no doubtably be asked as to how much money was spend on this investigation, how many man hours etc. just to get a few hundred misdemeanor charges at best.

From what I have seen in the past many human / sex trafficking cases fall apart once they get into a courtroom. This may illustrate just how boneheaded this is.

They didn't know who would walk through the door, they did this in part because of the countries puritanical facade, and in part because it is very responsible to protect wome who have marginal skills and enter and hope to better theit life in this country against all odds. They had reports and believed there were illegal activities taking place that involved women being forced into sex and slavery, and they netted a big fish, which makes it sensational. Society in general is against transactional sex, doesn't under stand the reasons or benefits, and it violates the religious beliefs of many who prefer that their spouse commit other sins, and is salacious.

If this industry was legal so much of this would go away. Not all, but quite a bit. And the women would have a fighting chance at controlling their life choices.
